Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Skopje Trip (skopjetrip.com) collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep it as short and honest as possible.
Who we are
Skopje Trip is an independent travel guide focused on Skopje and North Macedonia. Questions or requests can be sent to hello@skopjetrip.com.
What we collect
We do not run user accounts and we do not ask for personal information to read the guide. The data we do process is limited to:
- Analytics: aggregated, anonymised page-view data via Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, referrer, approximate country, device type. We do not collect names or email addresses through analytics.
- Affiliate click tracking: when you click an affiliate link (Booking, GetYourGuide, eSIM providers, etc.), the destination site may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. We do not receive any personal data from these clicks — only aggregated commission reports.
- Server logs: standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) kept short-term by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for analytics. Third-party cookies may be set when you interact with embedded content such as Google Maps or when you click affiliate links — those are governed by the respective providers' privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

- Google Maps — embedded maps on some pages
- Affiliate networks (e.g., Booking, GetYourGuide) — when you click a call-to-action to visit a partner site
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. Their processing happens on their own infrastructure once you interact with them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (EEA, UK, California, etc.), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we don't run accounts, most rights are covered by clearing your browser cookies. For anything else, contact us at hello@skopjetrip.com.
Data retention
Aggregated analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults. Server logs are rotated within a few weeks. We keep no long-term profile of individual visitors.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
